Hi! I’m Lauren.

From a very young age, I had a strong love for music. My parents said I would hum anytime I liked a food I was eating and dance around when my father would play the guitar. At the age of 8, my parents enrolled me in piano lessons. It was then that I officially fell in love with music.

I didn’t know I could sing until I was accidentally placed in choir when I was 12. The rest was history. By the age of 14 I knew I wanted a career in music. I received by Bachelors of Music Degree in Vocal Performance with a specialization in opera from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. I then went on to receive my Masters of Music Degree in Vocal Performance with a specialization in musical theatre from New York University.

While in school, I traveled the world performing roles in operas such as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro (Florence Performing Arts Festival, Italy) & Second Spirit in The Magic Flute (International Performing Arts Festival, Germany). I also made my Carnegie Hall Debut playing Zerlina in Don Giovanni.

Upon graduation, I’ve been lucky enough to work professionally at reputable regional theaters that include: Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre, John W. Engeman Theater & Westchester Broadway Theater. Playing some of my favorite roles such as Maria in West Side Story.

When not on stage, I spent 4 years teaching students age 4 to adult at a reputable performing arts school in New Jersey called Performers Theatre Workshop. You can see my students performing in Frozen & School of Rock on Broadway as well as many national tours. At the school, I taught voice, piano and music directed.

Currently, I teach piano and voice lessons to over 30 students! Many of which I help get into reputable Universities for Theater or Music.

Fall of 2022, I will be attending UTSA to pursue my Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Vocal pedagogy is the study of the art and science of voice instruction. It is used in the teaching of singing and assists in defining what singing is, how singing works, and how proper singing technique is accomplished.
